Rick Ross Announces ‘Port of Miami 2’ Release Date, Shares Cover Art Honoring Late Manager
Rick Ross' highly anticipated Port of Miami 2 arrives this summer. Rozay announced Tuesday (July 16) that his 10th studio album will be released Aug. 9.
The MMG boss shared the project's cover art, which pays tribute to his late friend and manager, Black Bo, who died in December 2017. The artwork depicts Ross holding an icy pendant filled with a picture of Bo.
Ross also released a trailer for POM2, which is set to drop the day after what will be the 13th anniversary of the original Port of Miami. "When I realized I was really alive, I sat in a room alone. No television, no music, I just listened to my heartbeat. Can you hear it?" the Florida-bred rapper narrates the clip, while he's shown with his arms crossed and body submerged underwater.
Ricky Rozay kicked off the long-awaited project's rollout with a pair of singles in the Wale-assisted "Act a Fool" and the hard-hitting "BIG TYME" featuring Swizz Beatz.
